2.1 Data you provide
- Email address: for authentication via magic link or OAuth (Google/Facebook).
- Memorisation progress: hifz state per page, masking counters, spaced repetition states. Stored in Supabase.
- Display preferences: visual theme and interface language. Stored locally on your device (localStorage).
2.2 Automatically collected data
- Supabase session data: authentication token and connection timestamp. Strictly necessary.
- Analytics & advertising data (Meta Pixel): QuranInMe uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (ID: 1235831645292036) to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and build relevant audiences. The Pixel automatically collects: pages visited, time on site, standard web events (PageView), and technical information (anonymised IP, browser type, device type). This data is processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. under Meta's own privacy policy.
- Device type: we detect web browser vs native app to adapt the interface. Not stored.
2.3 Data we do NOT collect
- Name, phone number or postal address
- Payment data (handled exclusively by Stripe)
- Geolocation data
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Service provision (contract performance): authentication, progress saving, interface personalisation.
- Subscription management (contract performance): premium status, payments via Stripe.
- Advertising measurement (legitimate interest): Meta Pixel to measure ad campaign effectiveness and reach relevant audiences. You may opt out via Facebook Ad Settings or aboutads.info.

4.3 Meta Pixel (Facebook)

4.4 Sign in with Google or Facebook (OAuth)
If you use OAuth sign-in, you are redirected to Google's or Facebook's login page. We receive only your email and a unique identifier. Google and Facebook may set their own cookies during this interaction — we have no control over this. Google Privacy Policy →
4.5 Google Fonts
IBM Plex Sans Arabic is loaded from Google Fonts servers, involving a connection to Google's servers on page load.
5. Data Retention
- Account and progress data: retained during active subscription + 12 months after closure/inactivity.
- Payment data: retained by Stripe per their legal obligations.
- Local data: stored on your device until you clear browser data or uninstall the app.
- Pixel data: retained by Meta per their data retention policy.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR (EU) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD), you have the right to: access, rectify, erase, port, object to, and restrict processing of your data. 7. Security
HTTPS/TLS encryption, secure Supabase storage, restricted data access. No system is infallible, but we take data protection seriously.
